In her statement issued from Kangpokpi on Friday, Deputy Chief Minister Nemcha Kipgen said she was “deeply saddened and anguished” by the tragic loss of innocent lives, including a woman, in the early morning incident at Loibol village.
She identified the deceased as Letkhongam Haokip, Tinmary Haokip and Jangminlal Haokip, describing the killings as a heartbreaking tragedy that had plunged the entire community into grief and sorrow.

She extended condolences to the bereaved families and assured that the government remains committed to ensuring the rule of law and protecting the lives and security of the people.
Saitu Assembly Constituency MLA Haokholet Kipgen also condemned what he described as a brutal attack on Loibol Kholen village under the 51-Saitu Assembly Constituency, stating that the incident resulted in the tragic loss of innocent lives and destruction of homes and properties.
Expressing solidarity with the affected families, Haokholet said the targeting of innocent civilians and destruction of livelihoods were unacceptable and deserved the strongest condemnation. He urged the Central forces, State forces and the Government of India to take immediate and decisive steps to restore security in the area, prevent further attacks and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice without delay.
The legislator also called for immediate relief and assistance for families affected by the violence and destruction.
Meanwhile, Saikul MLA Kimneo Hangshing strongly condemned the alleged attack by armed militants near the Senapati-Kangpokpi border, stating that the assault claimed innocent civilian lives and reduced several houses to ashes.
In the statement, Kimneo expressed deep sorrow over the deaths of Letkhongam Haokip, identified as Secretary of KBC Gambih No. 7, his wife Tinmary Haokip, a member of the KBC Gambih No. 7 Women Work Committee, and Jangminlal Haokip.
