Imphal, Manipur: The Deputy Chief Minister of Manipur has strongly condemned the recent convoy attack in Ukhrul, describing it as a “barbaric assault on humanity” and an unacceptable act of violence.
In a statement issued following the incident, the Deputy CM expressed deep concern over the safety of civilians and security personnel, emphasizing that such attacks undermine peace and stability in the region. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring that those responsible are brought to justice.
The attack, which targeted a convoy moving through Ukhrul district, has heightened tensions in the hill areas of the state. Authorities have launched a thorough investigation, and additional security forces have been deployed to prevent further incidents.
