Three IEDs Safely Defused in Coordinated Indo-Myanmar Border Operation

Security forces in Manipur on January 19 neutralised three improvised explosive devices (IEDs) along the Indo-Myanmar border, preventing a potential threat to both security personnel and civilians in the area.

The IEDs were detected and safely destroyed on the spot during an area domination and sanitisation operation near Border Pillars 72–73. The recovery followed a thorough sweep of the sensitive border zone, carried out amid heightened vigilance along the frontier.

Officials said the operation was part of ongoing measures to counter cross-border infiltration and possible sabotage in the strategically important region.

Security agencies have since stepped up surveillance and patrolling along the Indo-Myanmar border to maintain stability and prevent any attempts to disturb peace.
