Lamka: Amid rising tensions following the recovery of the bodies of six persons who had been reported missing, the apex of the Kuki-Zo tribes, Kuki Inpi Manipur, strongly condemned the killings, describing the loss of human lives as a tragic and deeply distressing development.
Kuki Inpi Manipur expressed profound sorrow over the deaths and conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, praying for strength and comfort for those mourning the loss of their loved ones.
“The loss of any human life is a tragedy,” the organisation stated, while unequivocally condemning the killings and calling for justice through lawful means.
The statement comes at a highly sensitive juncture when concerns over security and inter-community relations remain heightened in several parts of the state.
Appealing for calm, KIM urged all communities and stakeholders to exercise maximum restraint, maintain peace, and avoid speculation or the circulation of unverified information that could aggravate the situation and further inflame tensions on the ground.
The organisation also called upon the concerned authorities to launch a comprehensive and impartial investigation into the killings and ensure that the law is allowed to take its due course.
Reaffirming its commitment to peace and justice, Kuki Inpi Manipur stressed the importance of harmonious coexistence among all communities and urged every section of society to uphold peace during the ongoing period of grief and uncertainty.
