At the Gulfood World Economy Summit, India’s rising role in the global food economy and its growing partnership with the UAE were highlighted. Ministry of Food Processing Industries Secretary Avinash Joshi emphasized India’s leadership in value-added food processing, supply chain resilience, and innovation-driven growth, noting opportunities from increasing regional demand for Indian food products.

A session titled “India-UAE: Building the world’s most trusted food supply bridge” brought together officials and industry leaders to discuss trade under the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, co-manufacturing, food safety, traceability, and sustainable food systems.

On the sidelines, the India-UAE Partnership Food Cluster met to explore deeper collaboration across food processing, agri-value chains, and technology-driven sustainable practices. The engagements reaffirmed both nations’ commitment to food security, innovation, and expanding bilateral trade in the sector.
