Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday paid homage to freedom fighter Thakur Roshan Singh on his birth anniversary.
In a social media post, Mr Shah said that Thakur Roshan Singh, with his exceptional bravery and courage, shook the foundations of British rule and inspired the youth to organise and embrace armed revolution.
Highlighting his role in the Kakori Train Action, the Home Minister said the legendary freedom fighter spearheaded a movement against the exploitation and plunder of the nation’s resources.
Mr Shah added that the life and sacrifice of Roshan Singh remain an enduring source of inspiration for every Indian in the service and defence of the motherland.
