Sri Lankan PM Harini Amarasuriya to Attend WEF 56th Annual Meeting in Davos

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya left the country this morning to participate in the 56th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland. The meeting, taking place from January 19 to 23, 2026, is expected to bring together over 3,000 global leaders, including heads of state and government, senior policymakers, top executives of multinational corporations, and innovators in technology and business.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Dr. Amarasuriya will engage in a series of high-level bilateral meetings with international leaders and heads of global institutions. Discussions are expected to focus on enhancing economic cooperation, exploring investment opportunities, and strengthening Sri Lanka’s partnerships as the country continues its recovery efforts.

The annual Davos forum remains a key platform for dialogue on global economic trends, geopolitical developments, and international development challenges.
