Meghalaya CM Presents Appointment Letters to 76 Newly Recruited Police Sub-Inspectors

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma on January 9 presented appointment letters to 76 newly recruited Sub-Inspectors of the Meghalaya Police at the 2nd Meghalaya Police Battalion in Goeragre.

The officers were selected from over 21,000 applicants through a rigorous and highly competitive recruitment process. Congratulating the recruits, Sangma praised their merit, perseverance, and dedication in securing their positions.

Addressing the new Sub-Inspectors, the Chief Minister urged them to serve the public with both passion and compassion, emphasizing that their authority must always be exercised with sensitivity and humanity. He also cautioned them against letting power or position influence their conduct, stressing that integrity and ethical behaviour are essential to effective policing.

Sangma expressed confidence that the officers would uphold the honour of the state and its citizens while fulfilling their duties. Wishing them success in their careers, he highlighted the critical role they would play in maintaining law and order and strengthening public trust in the police force.
