The grand spectacle of faith and spirituality, Maha Kumbh 2025, concluded on February 26 after attracting a staggering 66 crore devotees between January 13 and February 26. Held in Prayagraj, the event was hailed as a symbol of India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage, drawing pilgrims from across the world.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the event, referring to it as a “Maha Yagya of Unity,” and emphasized its role in strengthening the nation’s cultural ties. Reflecting on the event’s immense significance, PM Modi said, “The convergence of faith from 140 crore citizens at the Maha Kumbh for 45 days is overwhelming. This is not just a record; it’s a foundation that will keep our heritage strong and rich for centuries.”
The Prime Minister expressed heartfelt gratitude to the citizens for their dedication in making Maha Kumbh 2025 a historic success. He remarked that the event marked the beginning of a new era for India, blending deep-rooted traditions with a renewed energy for the future. Taking to the social media platform X, PM Modi shared a blog post commending the seamless execution of the event.
He credited the tireless work of organizers, volunteers, and devotees for the success of the Maha Kumbh, noting that it was more than just a religious gathering—it was a powerful testament to India’s unity and unwavering cultural strength.
Held every 12 years in Prayagraj, the Maha Kumbh is the world’s largest religious gathering, attracting saints, seers, and pilgrims from around the globe. The event has once again proven to be a major unifying force, showcasing India’s spiritual and cultural heritage to the world.
