A 50-member Manipuri dance troupe from the Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy (JNMDA), Imphal, left for New Delhi on Monday as an advance team to take part in the Republic Day Parade 2026. The group will represent Manipur at the national celebration scheduled for January 26, 2026.
Officials stated that another contingent of 42 members from JNMDA’s Pung and Sankirtana team will depart for the capital on January 13 to participate in the event.
In total, 92 artistes and students from JNMDA, Imphal, will perform at the parade, showcasing the vibrant cultural heritage of Manipur on the national stage.
