KANGPOKPI: In a moving recognition of resilience and determination, the Government of Manipur, through the Deputy Commissioner of Kangpokpi, Shri Mahesh Chaudhari, IAS, felicitated Mr. Tonggousem Chongloi, a 20-year-old NEET 2025 achiever from Mandap Relief Camp, Kangpokpi.
Tonggousem, the son of Ms. Nemcha Chongloi and (L) Amang Chongloi, originally from Phaipijang, Langol, secured an impressive All Manipur Rank of 182 and an ST Rank of 11 in the NEET 2025 examination. His journey from a relief camp to earning a medical seat stands as an inspiring testament to perseverance, grit, and hope.

He is currently pursuing his medical studies at Churachandpur Medical College, Lamka. The government’s gesture, conveyed through DC Chaudhari’s personal felicitation at his office chamber, was a proud and emotional moment for the district and the state alike.
During the event, the Deputy Commissioner lauded Tonggousem’s remarkable achievement and described him as a beacon of inspiration for the youth of Manipur, particularly those facing adversity. “His story reminds us that determination and faith can overcome any circumstance,” the DC said while extending his best wishes.
