Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Kerala’s development is vital to the nation’s progress and thanked voters for the BJP’s recent win in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation elections, while assuring full Central support to develop the city. Addressing BJP workers, he criticised the LDF and UDF for alleged corruption and misgovernance, and accused the LDF government of opposing Centre-led initiatives. Mr Modi highlighted Central welfare schemes, full electrification of Kerala’s rail network, and the introduction of Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat trains. Earlier, he inaugurated multiple development projects in Thiruvananthapuram and is scheduled to address a public meeting in Tamil Nadu later today.
