India is set to showcase its diverse agri-food ecosystem at Gulfood 2026 in Dubai, beginning on the 26th of this month, with participation from 161 exhibitors. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said the country’s presence at the global food exhibition reflects its expanding role in international agri-food trade.
The Ministry noted that India is partnering at Gulfood for the first time, highlighting its strategic importance as a reliable sourcing destination and a key contributor to global food security and resilient supply chains. Exhibitors representing 25 Indian states—including Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, and West Bengal—will take part in the event.
A major attraction of India’s participation will be the BHARATI Pavilion, the flagship initiative of the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA). The pavilion aims to promote export-ready agri-food and agri-technology startups and will feature eight high-potential Indian startups selected through a national-level process from more than 100 applicants.
