IMD predicts heavy rainfall for the next three days, issues warning

The retreat of monsoon from the Northeast may be on schedule as predicted by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), but rains are expected in certain places till the middle of October. While the intensity of rainfall in the seven states have decreased in the past 24 hours, the IMD on Tuesday issued a rainfall warning for a number of places in the region, including Assam for the next three days.
