Growing Support for BJP Governance in Tribal Areas, Claims Tripura CM

As the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections draw closer, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Saturday, January 10, said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gaining increasing support in the state’s tribal-dominated areas.

During a visit to Kanchanpur, the Chief Minister stated that BJP leaders are intensifying outreach efforts across all ADC regions ahead of the polls. He claimed that tribal communities are showing growing confidence in the party, attributing this shift largely to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Saha noted that a large number of families joined the BJP during his visit, which he described as a reflection of changing political sentiments among tribal voters. He said that more than 200 families, representing 759 voters, formally joined the party in Kanchanpur alone.

The Chief Minister further asserted that tribal communities increasingly believe long-term development and social upliftment are possible only under BJP governance. He added that the party’s emphasis on inclusive growth and its development-oriented approach have found strong resonance among indigenous populations across Tripura.
