In a major breakthrough in the ongoing investigation into the Class XII COHSEM Physics question paper leak, Manipur Police have arrested three more individuals directly involved in the conspiracy. This follows the earlier arrest of two accused, Maibam Sunil Singh and Ningombam Jagdish Singh, who were already in custody for their role in the leak.
Among those newly arrested is Khangembam Arundas Singh, a 60-year-old Assistant Professor of Economics at YK College, who also served as the Supervisory Officer of the Paradise English School, Thoubal Exam Centre. Another accused, Laishram Prabin Singh, a 31-year-old Biology teacher at Paradise English School, was also taken into custody. The third arrested individual, Sapam Shivdutta Singh, a 35-year-old Biology teacher at the same school, also held the position of Officer-In-Charge of the exam centre.
Police have confirmed that these individuals were the main sources behind the leaked question paper. Several incriminating items, including mobile phones, have been seized from their possession. Authorities have assured that the investigation is in full swing, with more evidence and witnesses being examined to identify all responsible parties and establish the complete truth behind the case.
The scandal has sparked widespread concern among students, parents, and education officials, with calls for strict action to prevent such incidents in the future and ensure the integrity of the examination system.
