Imphal: Authorities have announced a temporary relaxation of curfew in five valley districts of Imphal, allowing movement of residents from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday.
According to the latest orders, the relaxation will be applicable in Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur, Thoubal, and Kakching, where curfew restrictions have been in force due to ongoing law and order concerns.
Officials stated that the relaxation aims to provide residents an opportunity to procure essential goods, access services, and carry out daily activities within the permitted hours. However, security forces will remain deployed, and strict monitoring will continue to ensure peace and prevent any untoward incidents.
Authorities have urged citizens to adhere to the guidelines during the relaxation period and cooperate with law enforcement agencies. The curfew is expected to be reimposed after 5:00 PM, depending on the prevailing situation.
