Dimapur: The GPRN/NSCN led by President Maj. (Retd.) R.M. Lotha and Ato Kilonser N. Kitovi Zhimomi has announced the suspension of all formal agreements with the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) led by S. Kamson, accusing the group of engaging in activities that endanger civilian lives and violate prior political commitments.
In a press statement, the GPRN/NSCN (N. Kitovi/RM Lotha) expressed shock over reports that the ZUF (Kamson faction) had allegedly aligned with other Naga groups and was involved in incidents of arson in villages, putting innocent civilians at risk.

The organization stated that such actions run contrary to the spirit of the merger declaration signed on October 26, 2019, by former ZUF Chairman Raitu Chawang and current Chairman S. Kamson. It further noted that the alleged activities also violate the principles laid out in the GPRN/NSCN/ZUF Alliance Modalities agreement signed on October 28, 2019.
According to the statement, the ZUF leadership had previously been part of the Indo-Naga political negotiation process and regularly attended meetings of the Working Committee (WC) of the Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs). However, the GPRN/NSCN accused the group of now unilaterally engaging in what it described as “communal and sectarian violence,” which it said does not serve the collective interests of the Naga people.
As a result, the GPRN/NSCN leadership has declared the immediate suspension of all formal agreements with the ZUF (Kamson faction). The statement also announced the withdrawal of ZUF representation and barred its participation in WC, NNPG meetings and events until the ZUF leadership “takes Naga-centric steps.”
