The Defence Ministry has announced that approximately 10,000 special guests will be invited to witness the 77th Republic Day Parade at Kartavya Path in New Delhi this year. The invitees include individuals who have made notable contributions in income and employment generation, top innovators, start-ups, self-help groups, and high achievers under various government programs.
According to the Ministry, the initiative aims to recognize and honor the efforts of these individuals in nation-building and to promote greater public participation in events of national significance. Among the special guests are winners of the World Athletic Para Championship, transgenders and rehabilitated beggars under the PM SMILE scheme, as well as farmers practicing natural farming.
