UAE President Arrives in India Today to Strengthen Strategic Ties

United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is arriving in India today at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The visit aims to strengthen the India-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership and allow the leaders to discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest.

This marks Sheikh Mohamed’s third official visit to India since assuming the UAE presidency, and his fifth visit to the country in the past decade. The trip follows recent high-level exchanges, including visits by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed in 2024 and Dubai Crown Prince and UAE Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in 2025.

India and the UAE are expected to focus on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, defence, and energy, building on strong economic ties reinforced by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. Discussions will also cover developments in West Asia and other regional and global matters where both nations share aligned interests.
