KHOUPUM: The Zeliangrong Tiger Force (ZTF), the armed wing of the Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF), has issued a formal summon to Zeliangrong actress and social media influencer Kungliangliu Gangmei, citing concerns over her mode of dressing and presentation in media.
In a letter dated August 23, 2025, and signed by MK Ajona Kamei, General Staff Officer-I of the ZTF, the armed group directed Kungliangliu’s father, a resident of Satudai Village, to appear along with his daughter at its General Headquarters on August 24 “without fail.”
The letter stated that the discussion would focus on the actress’s “presentation and dressing in media,” which the ZTF claims is in “direct challenge” to a prior warning issued by the group. It further stressed that the presence of both the actress and her father on the mentioned date was “mandatory and shall not be delayed or neglected.”
Kungliangliu Gangmei, a rising figure in Zeliangrong films and cultural platforms, and her father, has not yet responded publicly to the summon. The development has stirred conversations in social media within the community, with opinions divided between defending traditional norms and respecting individual freedoms.
The ZUF and it’s armed wing ZTF, which operates mainly in Zeliangrong inhabited areas across Manipur, Nagaland, and Assam, has long projected itself as a custodian of Zeliangrong identity, often enforcing its directives on cultural and social matters.
As of now, there has been no statement from the ZUF and ZTF leadership clarifying the nature of the prior warning referenced in the summon or what further action might follow.
