BOOK RELEASE: A Book Titled, “Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude” by Premkumar Heigrujam Released at Manipur University

IMPHAL: In a heartwarming and intellectually enriching event, author and educator Premkumar Heigrujam released his much-anticipated book “Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude” at Manipur University today. The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests including Prof. N. Lokendra Singh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Manipur University, as Chief Guest; Prof. (Dr.) A. Rajmani Singh, Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Manipur University as Guest of Honour; and Dr. Salam Shantikumar Singh, Programme Coordinator of the Dr. Ambedkar Centre of Excellence, Manipur University as President of the function, along with faculty members, students, and well-wishers who came together to celebrate the culmination of nearly a decade of work.

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude, the author thanked the distinguished guests and his colleagues, students, and supporters for their unwavering encouragement throughout the journey.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the book, Heigrujam said that it was in early 2016, when he started teaching Ethics, Integrity and Aptitude for civil service aspirants in Manipur, that he felt the need for a book that can help students make ethical choices in life—not only in administration but also in their personal life. He further stated that the knowledge of ethics can empower us to lead better lives. It can also make us lead a happier life for Ethics has the power to change our society profoundly in a positive way.

He reflected on the intense effort behind the publication, saying, “It took me almost 10 years of continuous development, revision, and refinement to come up with this book. I feel like it’s my baby.”

With aspirations that the book will serve as a guide and source of insight for students, civil service aspirants, and the general public, Heigrujam added, “I hope you all find my book useful.”
